Bruce graduated from Southwest Texas State University
(now, Texas State University) with a degree in Agribusiness.
After graduating from college, he was an Order Buyer for many years.
Now, he is the General Manager for Scarmardo Cattle Company of
Caldwell, Texas - one of the largest cattle order buying companies in Texas.
Bruce is active in the Alford Cattle Company program. He producesdd
Brahman/Angus F-1 cattle, from which we produce some of our 1/4-blood cattle.
Bruce also produces the majority of our 3/4-Brahman by 1/4-Angus cattle, in
addition to most of the registered Brahman cattle.
Cindy graduated from Texas A&M University witha degree in Ag-Economics. She is Bruce's ranch manager and book keeper. Cindy also sells health insurance and is chauffer to Emily.
Emily is the 8th generation of our family to raise cattle
in Burleson County, Texas.
She is an active member of the Cooks Point 4-H, and she has her
own heard of cattle particpating in the Alford Cattle program.
The years 2010-2011 have held many milestones in the cattle
business for Emily.
As a breeder, she has consigned her first bull to the Houston Livestock
Show and Rodeo All Breeds Bull Sale,and she sold her first pen
of commercial show heifers for exhibit by another participant
in our local county fair.
Recently, Emily also purchased her first set of feeder steers.
